SUMMARY OF CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING INCIDENT: On July 1, 2016 at 5:30 AM, officers responded to a report of a male subject who had pointed a gun at a female at 719 4th St. NW, Apt. #5.
After the initial investigation, a search warrant for the residence was obtained by investigators to search the residence for the suspect and the gun used in the terrorizing incident. When no contact was had with the suspect inside the residence, the Minot Police Department’s SWAT team and Negotiators were called in to attempt to talk the subject out of the residence.
At about 8:25 AM, the suspect exited the residence and was taken into custody by SWAT officers without incident.
The male suspect was identified as 26 year old Dennis Yeboah. Based on information received during the investigation, Yeboah was placed under arrest for Terrorizing (C felony).
During search of the residence, investigators located a handgun, a schedule IV drug, and approximately 11 grams of heroin along with cash.
Yeboah was subsequently charged with Possession of a Schedule IV drug (C felony), and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin) with intent to deliver within 1000 feet of a school (AAfelony). Yeboah was transported to the Ward County Jail to await his initial appearance.
