LOCATION: King Avenue West and Grant Road (16-39463)
According to Sergeant Brandon Wooley of the Billings Police Department, on June 20th, 2016, at about 4:10 P.M., Officers with the Billings Police Department were dispatched to the area of King Avenue West and Grant Road for an accident involving multiple vehicles.
During the initial investigation officers learned the following: A white
Chrysler 300 with Texas plates, driven by 27 year old DAGOBERTO GARIBAY.
Garibay was headed Eastbound on King Avenue West.
The Chrysler 300 struck that he was driving hit a total of five
(5) separate vehicles during a series of collisions starting at Grant Road while
continuing east on King Avenue West.
As a result of the investigation, GARIBAY was arrested for DUI, Drugs and
Felony Criminal Endangerment. Dagoberto Garibay was also cited for not having a drivers license.
Only minor injuries were reported and none of the victims required medical
attention at the scene.
The Eastbound lanes of King Avenue West from 24th Street West to 20th
Street West were closed for about two (2) hours while officers investigated the
26-year-old Garibay was arraigned in Justice Court in front of Judge David Carter. Judge Carter ordered a $45,000 bond and if he was able to post bond he would be required to wear a GPS monitor.
Garibay was huffing from a hairspray can according to Court documents.
