According to Billings Police Sergeant Mitch Hart, On June 17, 2016 at approximately 1240 hours Billings Police Officers were dispatched to 1240 Parkhill to assist Yellowstone County Civil Deputies.
Civil deputies were attempting to serve civil papers on the resident. Deputies advised they had made initial contact with the resident through a bedroom window and advised the resident to step outside.
As the Civil Deputies walked around to the front door of the residence they heard what sounded like a single gunshot.
The deputies make entry through the window and discovered the male had shot himself in the head.
The resident, a 60 year old male was transported via ambulance to St. Vincent’s Emergency.
Medical status is unknown and no names will be released prior to contact with family.Billings Police Department detectives are currently on scene.
This case is still under investigation.
