0229 hours-1800 block of 11th Ave-Officers responded to a report that a patron entered a business and requested the clerk to call police.   When Officers arrived the male assaulted one of the officers.   The officer was uninjured.   The male, Christopher T. Smith, 46, of Helena was arrested for misdemeanor assault and transported to the LCSO Jail.


1416 hours-1000 block of Wilder-An officer investigated a residential burglary.


1505 hours-600 block of Leslie-Officers responded to a report of a male sleeping in the bushes.   The officer contacted the male, Kristian L. Dennis, 40, of Helena and placed him under arrest for an outstanding warrant out of Helena Municipal Court.


1545 hours-3000 block of N Montana-An officer responded to investigate the theft of a cell phone.  


1553 hours-An officer responded to a reported shoplifting. 


1616 hours-300 block of Clark Street-An officer responded to a report of a located stolen vehicle and a located runaway juvenile.   At the conclusion of the investigation a 15 year old male was cited for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, obstructing a police officer, and disorderly conduct.   Michael A. Kern, 35 of Helena,  was cited for misdemeanor assault.


1915 hours-3100 block of N Montana Ave-Officers responded to a report of two males fighting.


2239 hours-Broadway and Park-Officers responded to a report of a female screaming for help.   Upon officers arrival they located the vehicle described by witness.   The male driver fled from the vehicle.   Investigation of the incident revealed that the female, who was screaming for help, had been at a local casino and agreed to allow a male to drive her to her residence in her vehicle.   After they began driving the male would not take her to her house, but instead drove recklessly throughout town.   The female became scared and asked the male to take her home.   He refused.   She started screaming for help.  The female was unharmed.    This case is still under investigation.  




0410 hours-700 Logan-Officers responded to a report of an assault.   During the investigation officers made contact with Gail M. Burcar, 52, of Helena.   Burcar had two outstanding warrants for her arrest.   She was arrested for the warrants and transported to the LCSO Jail.
