According to Sgt Nathan West of the Billings Police Department on May 8th, 2016 at approximately 1131 hours. Billings Police were dispatched to the injury accident involving a vehicle vs pedestrian in the 1500 block of Grand Ave.
A 21-year-old male stepped off the north sidewalk on Grand Ave into the north most westbound lane of traffic on Grand Ave.
The 21-year-old male was struck by a 2010 GMC Yukon that was traveling westbound driven by a 68-year-old male. The 21-year-old male was transported by ambulance to the Billings Clinic.
Medical personnel on the scene, indicated that the injuries were not life threatening. Later, the Hospital confirmed that the injuries were not life threatening.
The 2010 GMC Yukon sustained very minor damage. No citations issued at this time. Currently, the accident is still under investigation according to the Billings Police Department.
