According to what the Montana News could find out, on April 16, 2016 at about 10:00 p.m. a call came into the 911 comm center. A citizen stated that an impaired driver that was driving a Nissan Armada was traveling North on Shiloh Road. The Complainant stated that the driver was “swerving all over the road.”
Highway Patrol Officer Barry Mitchell was given the vehicle VIN number by the caller, Trooper Mitchell ran the VIN and registrations check and confirmed the registration had expired on the Nissan Armada.
Trooper Mitchell responded to Shiloh Road and rolled up on Trooper Scheer who had already pulled Michele Lynn Braukmann over to the side of the road. Michele Lynn Braukmann was born in March 1977
In Michele Braukmann’s vehicle the Troopers observed a Smirnoff Vodka bottle in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
The smell of alcohol was great and Michele was slurring her speech. Braukmann was placed in the front seat of the Patrol car and Trooper Mitchell preformed a HGN test of which Attorney Braukmann failed.
Attorney Braukmann’s eyes were blood shot and glassy so Trooper Mitchell gave attorney Michele Braukmann a one-leg stand test, where she failed 3 out of 4 indicators of impairment with that test.
Finally a PBT test was done and that revealed that the billings attorney Michele Lynn Braukmann was intoxicated. Braukmann had two of her son’s in the vehicle with her along with another minor child. The father of Braukmann’s children came and got the two boys and took them home. Trooper Mitchell then took Michele Lynn Braukmann to jail.
