Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault

CHEYENNE,Wyo.— The Cheyenne Police Department responded to 1114 Converse Ave. on April 28 at 0106 a.m. after receiving a report of a person being threatened with a knife



Michael Boyd, 59, of Cheyenne, was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for aggravated assault.


Boyd’s neighbor, Amanda Augustine, 29, of Cheyenne knocked on his door to ask him to turn his music down and Boyd allegedly displayed a kitchen knife and said he would kill Augustine. Augustine was able to return to her home and call the police.

Officers recovered a large kitchen knife from Boyd’s residence. Neither Augustine nor Boyd were injured in the altercation. This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
