4/10/16 @ 6:53pm An officer received a report of a stolen bicycle in the 800 blk of 8th Avenue. The victim reported missing a silver boys Schwinn bicycle from his yard.

4/7/16 @ 3:43pm An offcer investigated a possible stalking complaint.

4/8/16 @ 11:00am An officer investigated a reported stolen motor vehicle from the 2800 blk of Prospect Avenue. The owner reported his red 1975 Dodge pick up stolen sometime between 10:30pm and 1:30am the previous night.

4/8/16 @ 4:36pm An officer investigated a possible parenting plan violation.

4/9/16 @ 9:09pm Officers responded to an altercation between several people in the 3200 blk of Hwy 12 East. The case remains under investigation.

4/8/16 @ 12:12am An officer was called to investigate threatening/obscene text messages the complainant received. The case was referred to the city attorney for review.

4/10/16 @ 9:31pm Officers were called to the 800 blk of North Oregon concerning an assault. After investigation, officers arrested Curtis Compton (28 yrs of age, Helena) for 1st offense Partner or Family Member Assault. He was booked at the detention center.

4/8/16 @ 9:44pm An officer was called to investigate a reported burglary to a residence in the 1600 blk of East Lyndale. The victim reported missing several firearms from his residence between April 4th and the 8th. The investigation is continuing.

4/7/16 @ 12:11pm An officer was called to investigate a reported violation of a no contact order. After investigation, the officer arrested Katie Margaret Wheeler (24 yrs of age, Helena) for a no contact order violation. She was issued a notice to appear and released.

4/9/16 @ 1:55pm An officer was called to a business in the 3100 blk of North Montana Avenue concerning a juvenile male attempting to steal items from the store. The officer arrested the 14 yr old male for misdemeanor theft, in addition to being in possession of tobacco and for obstructing a peace officer for lying about his identity. The juvenile was later released to his legal custodian.

4/10/16 @ 4:00pm An officer was called to investigate a report of a bicycle stolen from the L&C County Library on South Last Chance Gulch.

4/10/16 @ 11:00am An officer investigated the theft of a purse from a business in the 3000 blk of North Montana Avenue. The victim reported she had accidentally left her purse in a cart at the business and when she returned it was gone. The victim reported missing the purse in addition to several checks, credit and debit cards.

4/10/16 @ 4:16pm An office responded to a residence in the 700 blk of North Fee Street concerning a possibly suicidal female. The female was located and transported to the hospital for treatment.

4/11/16 @ 12:10am Officers were called to the area of the 200 blk of East 6th Avenue concerning a male possibly attempting to break into vehicles. An officer located a juvenile male a short distance away who matched the description of the suspect given by the caller. While attempting to speak with the juvenile, he attempted to walk away from officers. He fought with officers, who were able to detain him. He was later released to a parent. He was issued a notice to appear for obstructing a peace officer. Officers were unable to locate any evidence any vehicles were entered.

4/9/16 @ 10:45pm Officers were called to a business in the 2700 blk of Prospect concerning a disorderly female in the parking lot. Employees reported the female had been yelling obscenities at other customers and punching and kicking at her car in the parking lot. Officers identified the female as Melissa Dawn Shurtliff (25 yrs of age, Helena) and arrested her for disorderly conduct, in addition to a Helena Municipal Court warrant for her arrest. She was booked at the detention center.

4/8/16 @ 10:21am An officer investigated a theft from a business in the 2700 blk of Prospect. A female concealed a number of items and left the store without paying. The officer was able to later locate the vehicle and female at a residence outside the city. The officer arrested Diana Marie Lamere (25 yrs of age, Helena) for misdemeanor theft. She was cited and released.
