Minot N.D. Woman, 27-Year-Old Shaunna Latara Rider Looses her (3) Children to CPS in Minot North Dakota: Charged With Neglect

TYPE OF INCIDENT: Child Neglect

INVESTIGATING OFFICERS Notes:
On March 22, 2016 at 1:35 PM, officers responded to 500 18th Ave. SE for the report of three minor children being left home alone.

 

The investigation revealed that three children, ages 5, 3, and 1 year old were left unattended for more than 3 hours. In addition to the children being left unattended, the conditions of the residence were also unfit for the three children.

 

The children were turned over to the care of Child Protective Services and the mother, Shaunna L. Rider, was arrested and charged with Child Neglect.

 

Rider was taken to Ward County Jail. The incident is still under investigation by the Minot Police Department.

Montana News Editor's Note:  A person who has been arrested and charged is innocent and the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
