On March 14 at 7:04 PM officers responded to 102 Parkview (625 15 St. SE) for several reports of gunshots being fired in that area. Officers were informed that a white cargo van stopped in front of #102 and two males got out of the vehicle.
Another male, who is believed to be the resident of #102 met them outside and after a few minutes of conversation, shots were heard coming from the area. The two males who arrived in the van got back in the vehicle and quickly left the area.
The officers attempted to make contact with anyone in the residence as they received information that someone was seen inside following the shooting and they got no response. With limited knowledge of what took place and not knowing who fired the rounds, the initial officers backed away from the trailer and set up a perimeter to secure the scene. SWAT was called out to handle a potential armed subject in the trailer, and once a search warrant was obtained, made entry to find the trailer empty.
One of the rounds fired entered a neighboring trailer a row away from #102. It is unknown at this point what led to the shots being fired. There was no evidence on scene that indicates anyone being struck by any of the rounds. Police processed the scene and the investigation of the incident is still underway.
